THERMOFORMING

Fast and effective molding.

BENEFITS OF THERMOFORMING

One of the main advantages to using thermoforming is that it’s very adaptable all of your project needs. Thermoforming has quick turnaround times and can be a great tool for providing prototypes, saving you time and money.

PLASTICS

Thermoforming plastics involves heating up a sheet of plastic and applying a force over it to take the shape of the mold. Once the sheet cools it retains the shape of the mold and can be post processed to trim flashing or cut holes. Commonly used plastics include ABS, HIPS, HDPE, PVC, PET and PETG.

COMPOSITES

Thermoforming composites, similar to plastics, involves heating up the composite and forcing it over a mold typically using pressure from a vacuum. Commonly used thermoformed composite materials include nylon, carbon fiber and fiberglass.
